You just reminded me of a funny story from yesterday, when I was walking in the park with a friend and his two grandkids. Girl drinks water from the tap/fountain, and then insists on going into the bathroom to wash her hands. I tried to explain that its exactly the same water, but logic doesn't always apply...

I used to drink from the tap raw like a hoe .... but since I know the government is bankrupt I wonder if they can afford chlorine so put a filter

I have an extreme sensitivity to chlorine/chloramine so it goes into a 4-stage under counter filter otherwise there’s no chance in hell.

Failing that for whatever reason I’ll just pour it into something and leave it overnight so it evaporates and that takes care of mostly.

Fortunately Cape Town water is nice and soft.

Treated water from dispensers

Tap water is a no go
and our boor hole water has been contaminated by the copper mine, we can't even use it to water the garden its too acidic apparently

Bottled water. I used to buy in bulk at Makro but they dropped stocking some of it so I get from a distributor who delivers now. I’ll use tap water for the odd pill, or teeth brushing and coffee etc. but main water intake is bottled.

Sometimes I also get Fiji or Evian I do like the softness of that water a lot.
