OUTA launches urgent application to suspend AARTO

I just ignored it and it went away.

That's my standard approach as well.
Since I started doing that I only paid one fine and that was after sitting for an hour on the side of the road with the cop literally begging me to pay "just one" of the long list he had extracted from the computer in the van.

The only ones I pay are the ones the sheriff of the court comes to the house and hand delivers a summons or ones that I sign on the side of the road. This one with the license disk he didn't make me sign, now I remember, that's what it was. One time going through kokstad there was a roadblock with a computer and they printed out a summons for a fine from a few years prior, i then went to pay it a while later before the court date. I havent paid for any fines in the last 10 years.

Yup, me neither 😁

Aarto is great, just think of the thousands of extra people a day who will end up needing to redo their licences at our fully functional and highly efficient testing centres. All those points being issued by our professional and competent police force.

The only time that happened to me was in jhb when i was returning the rental car at the airport. Claimed I didn't stop and the non existent stop sign. He said I must come back to the police station, I said BS, give me the fine, I've got a flight to catch, he then let me carry on my way.
100% its always some made up transgression they think you will just accept.
