Im not a DA supporter. Not since I spent 6 months in Cape Town. That place has taken a nose dive in the last 10 years.

The national learner's license failure rate has surged following the rollout of the Computerised Learner Licence Testing (CLLT) system. Just remember that this is not the full test. There are 3 sections. One is out of 8, one is out of 20 and the other is out of 30. Don't recall all the detail but the out of 8 was vehicle controls.

I must have had hard ones like how far to put warning triangle. Try the test again. The questions are different each time :P

Anybody that can't answer those should anyway not get a license, that's the type of person that will drive out of the showroom straight into an accident scene.

😅 I'll try again. I had that same question, and a few more of that type, there I honest can't remember the distances as it really has been many years since I looked at it, so I guessed. Which is probably where I made mistakes.

Warning triangle? The correct answer is to put anything that is in your car about 1 metre away from your broken down vehicle...
On a blind corner/rise, you need to place the object no more than 0.5m away from your vehicle.

Fair enough, but I can remember from my time that they threw some trick questions in there. Actually required some thought.
 
Yeah, the measurement questions are just rote learning, it's hard to work out if you haven't studied it yet, or you are involved in an industry where such things are known.
 
So I had to get my EB license 2 months ago (been driving for 22 years now, crap I'm feeling old now), and went though the whole process from start i.e. learners

I went through the whole K53 book (actually learnt a few things I didn't know and ones I had forgotten) and did a few online tests, and I passed, but not by much, as there were many ambiguous questions that really puzzled me.

I remember there was one on the traffic circle (a drivers best friend) that had 2 answers that I was sure are both correct :) I know, they might be both right, but one of them is more right ;)

But in essence, if you know the rules, you can almost wing it, except the ones meant to bowl you out.
