Roelf Meyer wants to stop President Donald Trump’s Afrikaans refugee programme

Waste of effort. The refugee program serves Trump's interests of getting white immigrants into the US. And the likes of Mask who funded him want this so it'll continue. Their country their rules despite the lies.

aaai

ai did a piss poor job there.
pic belongs in both the bad driving and bad parking threads.
kudos to the driver of the blue car in front of the busses - quite an achievement there.

Its easy to look back at "9 lost years" under Zuma and label him as the worst leader we have ever had, but when one really looks at the facts, Cyril has been the worst/most damaging leader we have had in the democratic era. It should be no surprise he would send his old sellout buddy over as ambassador, and then give him instructions to do some pretty underhanded, damaging stuff for South Africa. It is 100% on brand for Squirrel.

He's very convincing. Turned out to be some sort of mega psychopath

It’s all different clowns but still the same circus.

I think the real trouble is that people's memories are unfortunately extremely short - and on top of that, that dont really like reading and learning from history.

I was completely blown away by how easily people in my social circles were blown away by "Ramaphoria" at the beginning of his term, while I sat there scratching my head wondering what on earth in this man's background gives these educated, middle-class, tax-paying people any sort of indication that this man was going to be good for us.

Its as if they somehow forgot he sat by at Zuma's right hand for the past 9 years and allowed everything to unfold, as if they forgot about how he handled the Marikana crisis, and how little remorse he had there, as if they forgot about the fundamental role he played in selling out the South African economy during Codesa. As is they forgot what a snake oil salesman he was in the unions. As if they forgot that he was basically the single largest beneficiary of BEE in South Africa's history. But the more I tried to speak to people about these things, the more I realised they didnt forget, but rather, they simply did not know, and werent interested.

What convinced a lot of us, myself included, was the regular referring to the fact(?) that he was our best choice and hope, compared to the other potential leaders who could have won their chance on the throne.

So how much worse can worse be, one wonders... :-/

Nah. Zuma was a clown for sure - but that was something manageable. Clowns tend to be pretty predictable, and they are honest, even when they are doing dodgy stuff. Zuma was perfectly predictable, because he was a clown.

Ramaphosa is a cold, calculating monster, and you cannot trust a single thing that comes out of his mouth, nor can you easily make predictions as to what his next move might be - to counter. The only thing predictable about Ramapoes is that everything he does is to serve his own best interest - but the fallout is unmanageable and unpredictable.

It's not the same circus.

Rama is also a puppet, doing the bidding of his international puppet masters for the billions that gains.

And thanks for the history lesson - I am one of those who did not know the extent of his misuse.

i'm not so sure about the ramaphoria thing.

people were "overjoyed" more at nkosazama zuma's losing, than rama's winning
