Cool Ideas Fibre ISP – Feedback Thread 7

HI there, sorry to hear you are having issues. Yes I see on the Iperfs you shared on DM that you had some loss locally. Didi this cleear up or are you still having issues at the moment?
Seems things were fine last night.

Had 1 or 2 hiccups where there was a tiny amount of loss but i'd put that down to the Apex server. IPERF seems clean (on Wifi so jitter is normal) as well during the day so will look again tonight.

Might have even been the world cup final seeing excess traffic in the area to think of it...

Thank you for confirming all is well. Yeah its definitely a posibility. Glad all is sorted :)

@PBCool @CoolEscalator i see LINX peering is down, is it still LIS<>LON maintenance or is there an issue with the path atm?
Yeah were on Lisbon IPT /DE-CIX at the moment, as there has been a lot of testing by WIOCC done with the LON-->LIS link due to all the issues as of late.

LIS-->LON is up at the moment, just not used as main currently (Uktest will still use this path though)

I believe we switched over around 11am yesterday

Here is an IP of an actual wow server, run a MTR/pingplotter to this when you have lag / high latency again and you will see exactly where the problem is: 66.40.183.96

It looks ok now but I promise you it was bad around 8-8:15PM
if it happens again tomorrow i will tag

I already upgraded to Openserve 1Gbps a few weeks ago and I see now on CoolZone and on the website it says "Please be aware that the Openserve 1Gbps service is on a launch pricing special"

The only price I see anywhere is R1699, is that the launch special? When does that fall away and what will be the price later?

HI there, thank you for reaching out.
Yes that is the launch Special price at the moment.
Answer below from another thread who had the same question
This has unfortunately not been announced as yet, as No date mentioned thus far.
This will likely only be comunicated with the annual price changes.
