No new disc games on PlayStation from January 2028

No matter the amount of QQ from everyone - they going digital end of story.

Anyways, I can't disclose title specific unit totals, but none of the 7 that did exceed 100k physical units in the US during the 1H reached 275k.

This is for the total market, 37m seems like a decent amount, until you realise that includes everyone and Nintendo will make up the lion's share of that, the small bump it received in 2026 was literally only due to the Switch 2.

Ja but remember only certain amount of % of playstation gamers are true and real gamers here, and what's happening to them only now happens to gaming as a whole, and thus it's the end of gaming. lol.

I would have preferred the digital only version, but it was often sold out during the first year. Why was it sold out? The disc version was $100 more expensive but the costs of adding it definitely weren't so Sony gave it preference as it was more profitable

A chart of units sold can't tell you whether people stopped reaching for it or whether it stopped being within reach. It also can't show you a single one of the things people are actually defending (even though they might not be realising it): ownership, resale, lending, preservation, having a working (v1.0?) copy that needs nobody's permission when PSN goes down
