Samsung Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra

Anybody using the AI features of the phone? I used to play with the image generation, video, song generation which all seems to have disappeared when Google updated their Gemini offerings. Really am not using any AI type features as far as I can see. Wondering if I am missing something?
I'm pretty sure the photos are automatically AI-optimised. And once in a blue moon I'll use object eraser in the photo editing tool.

Oh and I am recording all phonecalls to device, and automatically transcribing those (shockingly bad transcription quality but it's handy having it all integrated with the calling app).

That's it.

I never knew one could record all calls. Cool.

Yeah, works a treat. The next big discovery I made is that my new Belkin ScreenForce screen protector (which I applied myself) is way better than my old BodyGlove one ... it's not only clearer, but the fingerprint sensor works better with it (which was a massive pain before).

I had to remove the one I put on my phone when I bought it because of same issue. Unsure what brand it was. Will check this one out.

Just get the 45 buck hydrogel ones from temu, had a few on my s23u for years, tempered glass is basically a scam. A hydrogel works even better as it absorbs the shock and it doesn't "shatter" to protect the screen. They work better with finger prints, they "self heal"

Dunno man, I've had a tempered glass protector on my old iPhone 14 Pro Max, and when I sold it three years later the protector came off easily and the screen was pristine underneath (despite my pocket being a punishing place for a phone lol). I'd say the cheap ones are scams, yes, but the better protectors have some good juju.

Never seen a "hydrogel" in my life, and not about to shop on Temu to find out. That entire website is a scam.

I never had a screen protector on my Huawei P30 Pro and the screen is still flawless even with my dad still using it, 7 years later.
My 23U got a micro scratch on it's first week and I put on a Samsung tempered glass protector, that shattered after a small drop, the second one didn't even take a knock on a table, after that I slapped on a hydrogel screen protector and it handled all the scratches and drops, the first lot were Samsung and they cost a fortune, found some on Temu for like R22 and they were identical. Got a few of them as they can be tricky to install on curved screens, plus for all the other Samsungs in the house, A54, A34 and S24 Ultra, no issues with them, you slap them on and they don't restrict finger prints, they don't refract light and they've managed to handle my sons scouting with his A34.
But have had one on for a year and a half on the S23 U with some scratches on it now, I'll replace it soon enough, but for like R5 a protector it's not that bad. So yeah for things like screen protectors and cases go for Temu, you're paying less and it's not a "scam" just don't go for the gamification of things. Most of the stuff on takealot is Temu anyway.

Cool, I'll investigate hydrogels if this screen protector also gives up the ghost somehow ... while it's working and I've paid for it, may as well keep it :)

Of course, if you've got it, use it :-)

So two weeks of having the S26 Ultra... Honestly, it's much of the muchness from the S23U, it is a bit quicker sure, the flatter screen is nicer, but the speaker isn't quite as clear as the S23U, it connects with bluetooth easier than the S23u, the battery is about 20% better, the super fast charge 3 is great

Judging by your profile pic, it's high maintenance in the garage and bedroom....

Jokes, I'm also observant to my wife's likes and try to spoil her as well. I tip my hat to you Sir.

I bought my wife the Alfa Romeo Stelvio and she loves it.
You got to spoil the princesses... or else they get difficult.

How do we get Smiggles removed from Android threads? I mean if Dolby is banned from Apple.
