I always get charged R35 for collection at a pickup point, no matter how much I spend. Only delivery is free as far as I know. Weird hey? Much more effort for Takealot to deliver so one would think collection will most certainly also be free.

Never been charged for collection over R750 before. Must be a bug, have sent them a query.

Might add most of the cart said they can delivery tomorrow and a few items on Friday. There were no options.

Must be a bug yes, and probably have been like that for a while now. Did an order earlier for R2200, standard collection was R35 so I changed it to delivery which was free.

Hopefully they will fix it and credit those that paid, but they probably won't.
 
R150 off R1000 or more: MID150

Edit: MID50 for R50 off R550 or more.

I wrote to them last week and was ignore. So I googled all their public email addresses and emailed all of them. Got my R35 back. Pfft.
 
And it is doing it again. Have replied to the email addresses that responded. Better than the online form it seems.

I see now what is going on. Apparently you need to pay R35 for Next Day. Even though the last order took a week.

They are now defaulting the Next Day option. Quite unethical if you ask me.

I also notice that even though everything is in stock in Cape Town they now make like it will take 5 days, when in fact I know my order of yesterday will be there by tomorrow, like it has always been. So they are stretching the delivery date on purpose to make the R35 look attractive.

They are trying really hard to get people to buy their Takealotmore. Really starting to look like an unethical company.

Quick example. We know a Philips Airfryer is a high volume item, right. So in stock everywhere and you can get it tomorrow:

And Next Day is selected as the default at the cost of R35.

I really don't like to be treated like an idiot with a wallet to skim.

Same here. Other more cumbersome way is to create a new account since first collection is free but one still need to verify your cell when using coupons, although there is ways like using online sms receiving sites.
