Crime that costs one of South Africa's largest cities R1.7 billion every year

Durban loses approximately R1.7 billion in revenue every year due to electricity theft and related activities, the eThekwini Municipality said.

The theft of funds deprived the municipality of resources needed to maintain and expand its electrical infrastructure and deliver services reliably to its residents.

Send in armoured bulldozers.
IDF will not sell to South African government, so they cannot buy them, and if they do, the comrades who get the tenders will charge R50 million each, get paid for 100, up front, and never deliver a single one anyway.

Anyone else notice the prevalence of the number 17 showing up in these articles?

17%, R1.7billion. 170 000... it goes on and on.
