Amazon Leo will be better than Starlink — Herotel

Herotel chief executive officer Van Zyl Botha believes that satellite broadband service Amazon Leo, formerly called Project Kuiper, will offer better speeds than Starlink within a year.

Herotel recently announced it had secured a distribution deal to resell the service in South Africa, beginning in 2027.

Van Zyl, if it's anything like your business customer service, it's going to be terrible. Frankly, I'm shocked Amazon Leo didn't do more market research for a partner in South Africa; there are many better ISP businesses than yours.

Even your account managers, such as Warren M resigned and ran away.

Let's show our disgruntled customers some pictures of rockets and such!

I am excited about Project Leo as it will actually be available here and will actually work, unlike Starlink. I will buy a kit and use it in the Northern Cape. Amazon know what they're doing as the Chinese know about quality EV's, unlike the manchild Musk and his silly toys.

Given the opinion expressed here how do you feel about a cut of the money you pay for Amazon Leo going to Johan Rupert?

My man, this is not your bakkie or a vehicle for you to compensate for your small manhood.
