South Africans spend 23 days driving to work every year

Traffic. This can be alleviated if we can go back to COVID rules. A lot of jobs (like mine) there is absolutely no reason to sit in an office, even when you go to the office you sit there with headphones on and have meetings via Teams....I can do that comfortably at home as well. Why a higher up's the job requires them to be in the office and now they feel the rest must suffer with them.

Company complaining about costs of renting building etc....just let everybody who can, work from home. No rental to pay, no cleaners to pay, no insurance to pay but no come to the office.

Currently working a hybrid model...the office days I am way less productive due the constant noise and interruptions at the office.
 
Out of curiosity I calculated my approximate time getting to work and back, and it worked out to roughly about 3.3 hours per week, 6.5 days per year. But, >99% of that time was spent cycling to work and verry occasionally driving to work.
