You cannot replace the geyser breaker with the start timer. You need to wire this in series with the existing breaker.Ok I bought 2 of those 32Amp breakers from Sonoff, GeeWizz has them at a better price than Sonoff themselves. They seem excellent so far! If you're a real man with a big hairy chest you just replace your geyser breaker with these yourself, easy peasy.
Download the eWeLink app and it picks them up automatically.
I choose Sonoff because they are a double pole breaker and also 32A (so it breaks the live and neutral) so no chance of death from the neutral line if you working or doing something else down the line, I see a lot of the other ones are single pole.
Anyway, they seem good so far!
This product doesn't replace the need for a circuit breaker. Doing such is not compliant and a fire risk.
Nevertheless, the 32a sonoff as quoted is a new model and is perfect for a geyser. It's better than the cbi astute in certain aspects, that it's smaller (single din space), and all sonoffs can store schedules locally on the device. Unlike the cbi which needs internet or else it won't switch.
Secondly the sonoff allows local control easily through home assistant. Tuya is a mission for that.
CBI astute offers both din mount and samite though.
