That's nonsense. Its something he said and never provide any evidence for. His track record with truth is not good, and in the past had to retract a lot of kark he said.

It would have been nice if there actually was another company that had a working satellite service. Amazon Leo has nothing to offer at the moment and when I read about their problems in getting a rocket to get their satellites in the sky, I doubt that they will have anything within the next 3 to 5 years.

The Musk fanboys are already afraid of competition even if they will never have Starlink. Someone poses a threat to your beloved idol. At least Amazon will actually deliver on their promises as they have a proven track record while Musk can only sell fantasies.

Yep, so Vodacom and MTN's BEE shareholders are safe, at least for now, for the commercial Internet market.

But that isn't all that Starlink provides. Military grade communications, signalling and GPS is but one of many others, and I strongly doubt that those signals will be carried by commercial carriers. Without C&C capability, the best militaries in the world would undoubtedly lose virtually any battle.
Then again, our esteemed minister of defence sends our troops abroad with little or no food and other logistic support, so I doubt that it's a biggie for the ruling party. :sneaky:

Lol what? Amazon does not have a proven track record at all with Leo since it's not available anywhere yet. Starlink however, as the world's leading satellite internet provider, has a highly successful and globally proven track record.
