IRAN WAR: You can't lose, if you don't have a goal

there is no feasible exit strategy.
trump simply flip-flops around like a salmon out of the stream.

the only clean exit will involve "regime change" in the usa and a new president withdrawing united states involvement from this dumbass war that trump has endlessly won
He’s hoping to get the Save America Act passed to disenfranchise millions of Americans. He wants to get past the Mid Terms to coast the last two years. Lucky for the world’s fate that seems unlikely and he’s going to be a lame duck.

The non stop impeachments will be entertaining.

Would love to see Iran's losses. Guess that list is ten times longer with much more loss of life (America bombed that school in the beginning).

The war has so far cost the US $US37.5 billion ($53.6 billion), according to the Pentagon's figures, and US politicians have approved even more funding.
The US military footprint in the Middle East has sustained heavy damage during the war, as Iran struck US bases and outposts across the Gulf. Early in the war, sustained attacks on US bases in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Jordan left some of those bases "all but uninhabitable", The New York Times reported.
Among them was Camp Buehring, a post in north-western Kuwait. In March, two Iranian F-5 planes dropped eight bombs on the facility, striking the dining area, gym and garage, according to an analysis of Iran-released images by Mark Cancian and Chris Park of the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS).
At a Jordanian base, in the opening days of the war, a powerful missile defence radar, which is part of the Terminal High-Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system, was destroyed by Iran. It costs just shy of $US500 million.
A naval base in Bahrain was also struck in late February, reportedly destroying two satellite communication terminals and other buildings. It was hit again in June... "Certainly, it marks … an end of an era. An era when the United States was just so dominant relative to others in controlling airspace."
The regime recently struck CIA facilities in the Gulf. One was located in the US embassy in Riyadh and another located in eastern Iraq, Reuters reported.
The US has worn down its weapons supply in a way that defence experts had not anticipated. In Dr Grieco's words, the military has been "eating up" munitions at a rate it cannot afford... Meanwhile, she said, the Iranians' weapons supply may have grown.
There are signs the US is shifting its strategy in the Middle East. One of them is that the US this month relocated dozens of aircraft to Ben Gurion Airport and Ramon Air Base in Israel, signalling Washington knows it has a problem, according to the Council on Foreign Relations.
"As the US has found out the hard way — in Afghanistan, in Iraq, in Libya, in Syria — superior military capability does not always translate into a successful strategic outcome," he said.

To be fair...Just because the GDP of those countries is less, does not mean that's not possible... GDP is not how much wealth the countries have on hand in various forms... The wealth of a country is several times that of GDP and this could happen....sort of.

But yes...that does seem ridiculous.
But, Petey said the war only cost them $38bn so far. Also why beg congress for a measley $1.5tn when they already have $6tn from the muslim terrorists...
