Wootvision Monitors from Wootware. Great price, but are they good?

New monitor arrived. Look forward to getting to use it this evening.


Same QD-OLED tech but includes things like black frame insertion, VRR anti flicker, hyper nits mode and is vesa true black 400 certified. The OSD is easy to understand, and manual does a good job explaining everything.


That said, in future if Wootvision gets new stock of their Mini-LED 1152 zone backlit monitor I would give Woot vision another try.
Better than regular IPS but without having to be as careful as you would need to with an OLED.
To replace my main TN display, as my OLED would only be used for gaming and HDR content watching.
Since its only and IPS, should not be an issue if OSD is not that good.
Their panel was priced very competitively as compared to other Mini-LEDs with same 1152 zone backlit display.

Last time it was around R5k, as compared to R9k + you pay for an equivalent AOC model.

Will be picking one up if they come in stock at similar price to what it was at.

I have a similar model ( 2 x WootVision 27Q I165 27" WQHD (2560x1440) 165Hz 1ms IPS Gaming Desktop Monitor). Got them in December 2025. Replaced 2 x Philips 24" 60Hz screens. Physically not much bigger than the 24" but it's a noticeable upgrade.

Very happy with the monitor for both gaming and work although I primarily use it for work (makes working at the office on the dual 24" Dell screens painful). Really can't fault it although you have to tweak the settings when you first get it. Never had to fiddle with it again. Some have complained about the basic stand but to me it's not an issue as I have used it with a Rogueware dual monitor stand from the outset. Would I but it again? Absolutely. For dual screens you would have to fork out a lot more for a branded similar specced screen. Also happy I went with 2 x 27 inch QHD instead of one 4K 34inch.

I just replaced my 4K 32” Samsung M7 (which I moved to my office desk), with a 4K Wootware 32” 144hz.

The brightness bump is really nice, but for some reason, why my OS (Kubuntu 2026.4) goes into idle, instead of the monitor blanking, it starts cycling full screen red, blue, green, black and white 🤷‍♂️

Seems it was still in factory mode (there was an “f” option in the OSD)

After unplugging the power for a bit, it seems to have reset into “consumer” mode 👍

Yeah exactly. I find 32” 4K @ 125% scaling to be the sweet spot. Allows for 2 portrait windows with tons of reading space.

The brightness is nice for office work, and I’m pretty sure the text is clearer/sharper compared to my Samsung m7.
