Like happened at R512 (Malibongwe) and R114 intersection. They put up cameras with a solar panel high on one of those H shape concrete poles. The criminals broke that pole down and stole that stuff and then the robots too, now it has stop signs.

Wodka gives you both poor reflexes, rubber limbs, and the ability to think you are Evel Knievel. so he got the jump right, but stuck the landing, and woke up a few days later trying to figure out why he was in plaster. Very likely did not stop drinking though.

Cameras may be useful, but really network monitoring is really the goal to see what is not working.

The lights at Kyalami Main (M71) and R55 work for about a week or so after repairs then several weeks/months of nothing. I'm sure the cameras will get entertaining footage of the whiskey stains that occur there.

I would just electrify the whole pole and cover it with some insulating material. Who ever cuts deep enough to meet the metal casing gets it....Including those drunk drivers who bump traffic poles all the time.
