A standard pack of 20 cigarettes in the UK typically costs between £13.60 and £20.00

😂

A packet of red medium-strength "Boss" cigarettes usually goes for R100-R125 for a carton of 200 cigarettes in Chatsworth, at most of the shops now. It was actually cheaper @ R90 a carton a year ago.

So yeah R10 a pack sounds about right, since theres no VAT/Tax/Distro fees on it.

It just goes to show you how our gov is screwing us with "wealth tax" and "sin tax"

“Sin Tax”.

As if people who’re already sinning won’t sin more.

Don't smoke, but can almost guarantee that if I did, I would also be buying illicit cigarettes.

I'm a non-smoker but spend time around smokers (unfortunately), and I can literally smell the cancer from the cheaper brands.

Secondhand smoke is terrible as it is, but it is even worse if when someone is smoking a knock-off.
