Capitec offering smart ID applications at over 200 branches

Great news for Capitec customers

Capitec has announced that it now offers walk-in smart ID card applications for existing ID holders at more than 200 branches across South Africa.

Capitec credited the milestone to its digital partnership agreement with the Department of Home Affairs, first announced in August 2025.
