Do you want a free VPS? - Always free - from Oracle

Started getting a bill. Checked it and seems there were changes to the object storage also. For my 10GB backup I had there for a while they started charging me 0.17 Euro

gatvol of my server at home that keeps crapping out. Looking to run a simple http/mysql server. Tried for 2 days now with Oracle free tier account and just can't get past the Out of capacity for shape VM.Standard.A1.Flex in availability domain.

Tried different domains and about to give up. Any other free solutions.

Guess you get what you pay for. Not free but PulsedMedia maybe an option. Anyone using it?

Just go payasyougo as everyone has suggested.

Pulsedmedia is not a bad option but hosted in Finland which is quite some distance away. Non-root vps so you need to do most of your stuff in docker rootless.

The promo is cheap. Real cheap. Oracle is the best though ZA hosted 24G memory and 4 arm cores not bad for free.

You only get 10TB egress free remember that since you are on PAYG if you don't set limits that could push you over especially with a 4Gbps link.

I think by the time you're doing 10TB per month egress, you're probably looking at being able to monetise whatever it is you're doing

There are some bandwidth intensive stuff that can eat through that 10TB in no time.

Also if your server gets compromised 10TB egress at 4Gbps max rate isn't very long.

I tried to switch to pay as you go, inserted my card details and they wanted to charge me 93 euros (nether land account)
how come?

Ok I see it was reversed immediately. How long does it take for my account to change?

So, I have another instance but I lost access to it.
My phone got stolen with the oracle OTP that doesn't have authentication.
I tried support and ended in an endless loop of nothing....should I just i give up?will they even help me?
For a while I didn't care as my VPS was up and running, but recently it became offline, and also not sure what will happen to it with the new limits....I do have a backup of everything though.
Maybe one day it'll just come back up....

Can anyone help in telling me what is the bypass file look like?is it a pdf? does it have any name pattern?I am going through old backups now.

Same boat as you. I changed laptops and did not know that when I enabled windows hello for oracle login, I invalidated the mfa authenticator code I had setup. Now on my new laptop I can't get back in and support wants to know the credit card I used to sign up... the thing was virtual so how the heck do I know :X3:

Let me try the support thing again tomorrow, but I couldn't get an agent to speak to me.
I might be able to get it right, I think i know which card was used.
