MultiChoice's revenue continued to plummet as South Africans left DStv for competing streaming services

Problem is there's a lot of misinformation, and those bent enough use it as their gospel.
(Not suggesting we trust mainstream either.)

Anyway, personally talking about just entertainment

and music. have you seen my jolling thread? :P

Agree, I get lost for hours.

It helps to sign in so the algorithm learns your tastes and then pay the sub so you don't see ads.
Yip 100% Partner and I have different accounts on the TV and the recommended for the 2 of us is very different.

Definitely music! Especially recorded live shows.

One man's meat... :D
I don't deny that, and must admit that YouTube was the go-to for every do-it-yourself solution there was, unfortunately so much junk is being uploaded that it's become difficult to tell what is actually going to help you and what is going to make you look like a 'nana now days

People will subscribe again once the soccer starts in August. You know we won't go without our Pirates, Chiefs or the eight Limpopo clubs.

I'm sure WAFCON is also keeping many still onboard. It only ends mid August.

We have had DSTV since 1996
Despite renewing on time every February on an annual basis, the service is cut 6 or 7 times a year with the reason "your debit order failed"
This happened on Friday 24th at 6:30pm. There is no-one who can access MC accounts over the weekend so sending the annual POP makes no difference. It was restored some time on Monday 27th
Asking for a credit for (so far) 12 days of no service, is met with silence. They seem disorganised and complaints are ignored
"Month-to-month or nothing" is my payment strategy.

YouTube has some ridiculously good documentaries and series.
> North02
> Internet Historian
> Extinct Zoo
> GT World (live coverage of GT2, GT3 & GT4 racing)
> Several channels have live 24hr news casts (DW, EuroNews, etc)
This list is basically infinite and depends entirely on what you want....

I've just found yomi.to which basically has any anime you've ever seen or wanted to see. DStv wishes it had a library that big...

Edit: Notable mentions
> Useful Charts (Religion, science, history, genealogy, mythology....)
> 3DBotmaker (Die-Cast Racing -- Much more entertaining than it has any right to be)
> Bad Obsession Motorsport -- "Project Binky" is the most ridiculously entertaining, ambitious and detailed Mini build ever! Made in the style of 1980's dry-wit BBC Mockumentary (make sure you have a kettle, teacup, tea and biscuits on hand)
> FutureCanoe -- Dry-wit cooking tomfoolery
> Map Men -- Dry-wit geography tomfoolery
> Oh, and ASTARTES, a WarHammer 40K short movie made by ONE GUY

Different tastes and interests. Fair enough

Suggestion - stop the debit order and pay a year in advance, you'll get 1 month free.
I have been paying annually since 1996. Nevertheless, MC decide off their own bat to mark my profile as "Debit order"

I did say annual, did you not read this?

Wasn't clear enough but not surprising given how they've mucked things up, makes sense now. Can't think of a solution, maybe a new account but doubt that's worth the wrestling match to get there.

Got a VPN (Proton) working on the TV now and am registered at my UK Cousin's address in Leicester
Wonderful selection of stations, ITV (5 channels) BBC on Demand, etc
Give it 3 months. If the tennis and F1 is on, then its bye-bye DSTV
