Not my car, belongs to BIL.. It is a 1.4 Comfortline, 128k on the clock and drives it like it's a race car on Killarney..
It was due for a service, but shortly before it went in, he drove it with too little coolant, overheating and blowing the head gasket..
Just got the report back from the mechanics and quote to sort out the head gasket, along with major service and all the rest of the many many issues..
R 82k all in..
In the Western Cape, seems the going rate for similar cars is around 140-170k.. Car is still financed, with may be two years left (unsure if there's a balloon or not)..
Anyway, what would you do in this situation..?
