Help me choose a gadget

[hellfire]

I am not a tech person at all! Need to buy a gadget as a work farewell gift for a guy who works in IT and is into tech-type gadgets. Anything new on the market that would make a good gift? Not too cheap but not breaking the bank.

Budget?

A nice backpack is one of the best things to get a techie. Everki ones are very good.

Even the crown prince of MyBB thinks so:

A good powerbank?
If he has an iphone, there are some cool ones that stick to the back of the phone and wireless charge.

Maybe a Rocketbook?

What tech thing can you really buy for 1K for a guy that is into tech things that he does not already have or would appreciate?
If you really want something tech. Go the a China mall and buy him the brightest torch that you can get for 1K

Most Tech dudes will appreciate a gift NOT Tech related.
They deal enough with Tech on a daily basis
