Hi all, I have a free Azure student account. It Basically give me access to almost everything with restrictions in place etc. and It also comes with US $100 in credits . Thing is I am not sure what I can waste my time doing there. So I am looking for interesting things that I can learn or try to set up and break. Any advice, suggestions for me?

Depends what you are interested in.

My first time was setting up a vpn to my router and connecting on prem to Azure.

SFTP using blob storage.

$100 is not that much TBH.

You can try learning web apps that you deploy from Github.

If you are a developer, try Azure Functions.

Maybe host your own game server.

Another one was testing and building a failover from my house to Azure. Hyper V cluster to be exact.

But that is not recommneded if you only have $100 doolas
The $100 is additional credits I don't for what at this stage. The Student account is metered and and only restriction is I cannot use the Dsv3, above 8 vCPUS or above 32 GB RAM, other services are metered as 750 hour free per month etc.

That is one lekker account. Never seen that before.

The only student accounts I can give users, students I mean, is stupid. That accounts can only do VM specs only like B1s and some other small specd ones. 1 VM for 750 hours or you can add 1 of the other free small, useless VMs but then they share the time of 750 H.

Then some simple Azure functions and web app hosting with minimal hosting.

Almost like things for Dev and testing.

Then the $100 can be used for bigger VMs and other stuff like VPN.

Will ask MS next week for this student account which can run bigger VMs for free since they no longer supply the $150 Azure credit with Visual Studio subs.
