So it was always cheap imports that was the problem. They are just tagging on to this issue because they want a government handout.

The local industry seriously need to look in the mirror and go out of business if it is cheaper to ship a very inexpensive heavy commodity across the ocean.

I attribute this to the exodus of 50,000 Ghanaians that went there and tried to consume electricity the way they were used to in SA. But they forgot that they don't have Andre Ruyter there.

There was no lesson learnt. The remote workers are using South Africa as a piggy bank to extract rent from all walks of South Africans, now using this to justify it as restitution. Of course, our honourable government institutions are blissfully unaware, sponsoring the extraction process.
