Apple Music increases prices in South Africa

Apple has increased the price of its music streaming service in South Africa from R69.99 to R79.99 per month for individuals and from R109.99 to R129.99 per month for the family plan.

South African customers were notified of the price increase via email, and it is set to take effect on 27 August 2026.

Some people adjust to what their favourite brand tells them & can’t really form an opinion
Don't... You're going to stir a pot and then it will just be fights... Just let them be, they're happy in their bubble.

Who wants Apple Music when TidaL is better?
Tidal is more expensive at R86.99. Also they don't support my Homepod Mini's Also last time I checked the app doesn't split official albums with rereleases when it comes to old / dead artists. Making it a nightmare to navigate.

Works good for me and Google basically just copied the design.

I don't know what point you are trying to make but ok.

Anyone can integrate with it but Tidal hasn’t so it’s on Tidal.
No, it;s Apple.

When I realised just how limiting Appl Music is & reached out to audio manufactruers, they all said working with Apple is a nightmare and most don't want to.

I don't know a single person irl who even knows what Tidal is. It's like the 2026 hipster version of vinyl records.
