ANC Minister says white men want to keep qualified black people out of business

If people want jobs, then change the labour law so that we can fire useless, lazy people and hire the so-called hard workers out there.
As someone who has never had a job, and only ever been an employer - I can promise you, the vast majority have no interest in a job, they are only interest in a paycheck. When you find the ones who actually want the job, you nurture them and let them grow with you, because they are really really rare - regardless of their race.

You can just tell this cow has never worked a real job in her life where she is genuinely more qualified to do the work than whomever is giving her the work. Because if she had, she would know that it isn't really that odd to be managed by someone who is less qualified and has less work experience than you. I have lost count of the amount of bad decisions I have been told to implement.

I would bet every single person in this thread has had to deal with something in the same vein.

Exactly, but you can't get rid of the bench-sitters once they infiltrate the business.

No one wants to work for decades through blood, sweat and tears, and then simply give away 30-51% of their company away. Thats just utter madness for many. How much of their family time got sacrificed, how much of their marriage to get the business to grow, and then give it to someone feeling entitled?

There are very successful black business people starting and running their businesses. I am very proud of them to finally come through the ranks. I am not so proud of the ones swindling others to get ahead (including those white ones).

We should punish the corrupt, and invest more in Small Business Enterprises, and assist them to expand internationally.

You mean like a new colleague coming in getting R1.5 million of BEE shares, not interested in the work, then pack up and leave after 2 years, still keeping the shares. While staff that's been at companies for 30 years, didnt even get a single share because they are white. Yip I have noticed it at a few places.

You sound like you have the right attitude of an employer. There are far too many that treat their employees in a way that only makes them care about a pay check. It is a two sided coin.

These clowns are fixated on race befok.

I have stopped blaming the ANC, They are not the problem. The problem is the ID-O-TES who vote with their stomachs and it emboldens ministers to utter such nonsenses.
I can sort of understand the poor voter who does it for a tower rounder. It's the middle & upper class black voters who are as pathetic as the white apartheid voters they fought so hard against. Complicit all the way in the corruption and degradation of a country with that stupid smile on their face.

So... BEE does what to qualified white men in business?? Tip: The tables turn.

Like where I currently work... Certain people of colour rock up here in Porsches worth 4 bar at least, and get nice bonuses/increases. What do we get? In two years you might be retrenched.

They are still stuck in the liberation movement mind set.
They've built their whole identity around this instead of building it around growth and the ambition for a brighter tomorrow. They would rather be chained to history than free themselves to make progress.
