I have a 32" UHD running 100% scaling.
22" FHD has 39 excel lines.
UHD has 91 excel lines and is comfortable on the 32" at 100%. 70 lines at 125%. 2560x1600 63 lines.
Anyone with a 27" please comment, the excel lines will remain the same at the dpi, but the comfort level?
I find that 32" is a bit too big so I need to sit away, but I prefer to be slightly closer so I end up moving my body left and right. A 27" ideally at 100%, I do realise that the window controls will shrink a lot.
At home I have been using a portable 15.6 at 2600x1600 - it works well in VS Code, sufficient lines at the bottom and width for the 3 panels. Code window is good, not enough for tabbing through multiple code windows. FHD is just too cramped, I need to get a bit close to the portable, so was wondering on the experiences with 27" UHD 100% scaling?
The LG 32" is not much different in price to the 27", but being price sensitive a 2560x1440 27" is a compromise that I may accept. 60HZ VA is fine with me.
Update : I went for the 27" LG 60Hz UHD IPS and am happy with 100 scaling. I wear progressive lens and a 32" requires vertical head movement if I sit back, and shoulder shift to view across the screen if I sit close. The 27" gets more of the progressive lens zone, and less of the horizontal movement to view left to right.
