SO they punishing the clients for the anc's inability once again.

So the end of the "record" no loadshedding for eksdom comes to an end.

What are you on about?

This is a municipality screwing up its infrastructure and allowing illegal connections to flourish. It's got fsck all to do with Eskom.

You conspiracy theorists need to pick a lane.

Either Eskom has so little demand thanks to all that solar that it's shutting off power stations to save dosh, or its system is secretly stressed to the max meaning they have to resort to clandestine loadshedding under the guise of load reduction. It can't be both.

Eskom - African National Congress (ANC)

basically the anc all around at fault. So there's that.

You want to blame the people paying their electricity bills?

Surprised you didn't blame the Post Office - ANC, cause they couldn't deliver the bills to be paid, or Telkom - ANC for not keeping up the phone lines so they could be phoned to be reminded to pay their bill. Or SARS - ANC for not finding away of taxing them to pay more for the services they don't cover.

Oh FFS this is the dumbest thing I've read in a long time. Eskom and the municipality are 2 entirely different entities.

No I want to blame the municipality... who are the ones who are failing to maintain the infrastructure. Eskom has nothing to do with the municipal infrastructure.

Eskom has so much spare capacity to supply the muni that they're busy shutting off power stations. They don't need to loadshed. They're not the problem here.

This is load reduction because the municipality is so kak at maintaining their infrastructure and dealing with illegal connections that, if they ever actually allowed power to flow uninterrupted during peak hours, the transformers would be overloaded.

My 7 year old could grasp the difference between what's happening here and Eskom loadshedding.

And my 5yr old Granddaughter will tell you it's the anc's fault no matter what you name it or who is to blame. That is the point.

Of course it's still the ANC's fault. They're in power in that municipality, that municipal government carries responsibility. However it's very obviously NOT loadshedding and Eskom very obviously doesn't carry responsibility.

Stop myopically blaming Eskom whenever some muni mismanages its infrastructure. Not every aspect of electricity supply is Eskom's responsibilty.

What's next, your solar install malfunctions... DAMN ESKOM AND THEIR LOADSHEDDING! It's idiotic.
