The Frenchies know that we are gagga for Rugby. And Supersport as a whole is the ace up their sleeves. So I don't think they will ever even consider dropping rugby broadcasting. The problem for me and 85+% of our population is that we can't afford it. And while there are people willing to pay R700+ per month, the situation won't change.

Mostly true. They do tend to juggle things regarding payment as they have access to doing overseas funding instead, which apparently can help. I don't really understand what's meant by all that though, sounds like the same thing to me but that's what we were told (I think on their forum).

Which is why it's called premium, if everyone could afford it, it wouldn't be marketed as such.
Problem is they need decent lower packages, but that brings the other issue, it'll not have the sport the premium package has, and if that was separate it would be the bulk of costs.
 
MultiCanal certainly knows IPTV is real competition for them. If they don't make legal attractive enough....
 
I'm on DStv Compact which not only has some Supersport channels (like 12 channels lol) but other sport networks too (ESPN, SportyTV), so if these games aren't found on any of these or SABC+/YouTube, I guess I'm skipping it....

That's the package I'd go for and what I would do too if I had to pay. Double edge sword, they need to keep interest alive as well in the "higher" sports.

It actually has most of what I want. I subscribe to YouTube Premium (I hate ads) and F1TV in addition to this and it really works well for me.

Are you the person who made this convincing argument on how Premium is actually good value, and the problem is that Saffas have lost significant buying power over time? It was some time back.
