Johannesburg’s financial and corruption crisis worse than expected with criminal syndicates draining the system

ANC-EFF and all the other sub brands are a cargo cult.

These idiots wear the clothing of the oppressor (in XXXXXXL), throw on some designer spectacles and Swiss watches and think it legitimises them. Then they sit around and drink whiskey while robbing any budget they get access to. Because that's what they think real leaders do.

The problem is the expectation is that when new leaders are voted in all the problems just fade away! They don't. The corruption networks are embedded into every nook and cranny. Going to take a long time to fix the mess.
 
Hope Helen has good security. I can see the mafia and entrenched thieves trying as hard as possible to remove her once she takes charge

I honestly doubt it'll ever come right, not in the next 30 to 40 years anyway, but we can go a long way to make it more livable.

I actually dunno if they would, that would probably have insanely negative outcomes for them as public pressure (as much as people dislike Helen) would ratchet up about 800 times to deal with the problem.

They may target her subordinates though.
