That kind of puts Makate's billions demand into perspective.
This was a whole company with real start up costs.

Time for MyBBers to support Spur. This weekend take your SO for a 1.2kg ribs with onion rings and chips.

Would be doubtful of spur winning, their argument is that the board had to sign it when they had people in positions of authority, who were empowered to make the deal had agreed.

It's not on GPS to prove that spur's senior employees were supposed to get the board to sign if they indicated that they had authority to agree, and both parties showed they took the actions as though the deal would happen/has been agreed upon over a reasonable amount of time.

Them prices are going to go up sharply- in the end the patrons take it... the shareholders will never suffer

Last time I was in a Spur was when they made that racist debacle in 2017 and then doubled down in 2019. They don't miss me and I don't miss them, spoilt for choice with many better eateries around.

If it wasn’t for the play areas for children to give the parents a break, Spur would have died long ago due to their high prices and average food. I can’t believe people eat that trash they call onion rings.

For what you spend there there are many vastly better quality restaurants where I live.

I only go there because ABSA gives us 2 x R50 Spur vouchers every few months, then the value is okish.

Haven't been to Spur in years, almost decades, simply became too expensive for what you got, and you can get better elsewhere.

Their breakfast is still good value for a single person so I still go there. Went there to pay my respects to a local waiter that passed sometime ago.
