Yes. And it will be competition which is good. But We won’t get Starlink now and competition later because it’s all about promoting hate and racial agendas. It will be one service milked to death by middlemen and their friends.

You're making assumptions. If they outprice themselves they will not gain the marketshare they need. With that said, I also don't expect them to do cutt-throat pricing, as Starlink and LEO are the only players in the game.

They can basically ask any price cheaper than current satellite Internet and people will it.

It's way more reliable than LEO satelite connectivity and your ping is much, much lower. Comparing the two is a mistake. Its also unlikely that fibre gets saturated during peak times like certain LEO areas do.

If I had the choice I would take slower fibre above higher speed LEO any day. But thats not going to happen in the sticks.
 
Would love it as a backup to my fibre and to travel with. Just 10km from Barrydale at Warmwaterberg I has terrible mobile data. So a slow speed package would interest me, like 20 Mbps. If priced accordingly.

I have two places that I visit regularly that you have to drive to the nearest town 50km away to get any form of internet. Any form of broad reliable broad band internet will transform the area significantly.

SpaceX and Leo does not compete with fibre or even cellular. It competes with legacy expensive sattelite solutions and people that still have a copper line.

You just need to see the amount of legacy sattelite companies in the US currently filing for bancrupty to see how big a splash they made in that SpaceX.

We actually also played with SpaceX in our office for a while and it performed on par with our fibre connection for cheaper.

will it though? by the time they catch up to starlink, the will still be catching up with a few years worth of progress
