ANC stalwart says it is unacceptable to build an Afrikaans university

ANC stalwart and former Minister Naledi Pandor said that it was unacceptable to build an Afrikaans-medium university funded by the community.
Universities in SA have become a platform for political activism instead of academic learning.

Many universities world wide follow the same principal.

I'm pretty sure that this University will not follow suit and people will actually learn something here.

If I were still in SA and my kids wanted to obtain a degree, I would send them there.

Tsek you piece of shyte

It's better than the school/university you and your criminal cadres ever built.............oh wait you haven't.

Push the button on your vest and blow yourself up you useless terrorist.

To be fair, that has always been the case. Moscow on the Hill comes to mind.

Of course...UCT always led from the front with UWC and now Maties also doing the same.

The REASONS for burning and disruption and violence, have changed however.

There are a few people that want to go to varsity to study though...and this new uni is the answer.

Those that pay their own way are generally there to educate themselves, the others, not so much.

I wonder if she would be so against a community funded zulu university for example...

When you're sitting in a lecture hall and some are toi-toiiing on the desks while intimidating you and kicking your laptop to the ground, the reasons why YOU are at the uni becomes irrelevant.

Quite likely since I don't think she is Zulu, tracing her heritage its Tswana from what I can see.

Anything community funded that thumbs its nose at government would be a problem to her more than likely.

I'm just surprised that "Kaffiyeh" Pandor stopped looking at the Middle East long enough to see something happening in SA

And yet it is done... What are you going to do about it?

Yup, anything privately funded, run and successful asks the question "what exactly is our tax money being used for".,...
