Extreme weather conditions cause power problems in South Africa

Extreme weather conditions have disrupted the electricity supply in several parts of South Africa, including Johannesburg and parts of the Eastern Cape.

Johannesburg power utility City Power has experienced a high volume of outage reports over the last several days. At the time of publication, its service centres had nearly 3,700 open calls.

First thing I did when I woke up yesterday and the sun was still shining, was disable the battery state charging schedule on my inverter so it'd be at 100% when the inevitable happens.... so used to s*ithole life by now, even my reptile brain has formed predictive pathways.
