22 stores and taking over?
Mambos’ current store base consists of larger retail-format stores. The vast majority of its physical footprint is in the Western Cape, which boasts 14 Mambos stores.

The rest of its stores are in Gauteng (4), the Eastern Cape (3), and the Free State (1)

This is so funny.:p hope mambo's didn't pay for this article. Make them looks a little bit stupid.

Move along now, just another plastic shop selling cheap plastic stuff at exorbitant prices along with crockery and cheap cleaning products.
Didn't anyone learn after Westpack packed up and left?

Mambos sells a lot of plastic containers.
Unsure what that cheapish plastic will look like in 20 years' time. They're basically the next-level Tupperware business with added products like toilet paper etc.

Wespack failed because they tried to expand too quickly, and did not pick their locations carefully.

These stores are fairly robust to economic conditions IMO. If the economy tanks, and people downsize, they go and buy storage containers to make their now limited space more efficient.

This is true, on occasions I forget food in plastic containers, I stumble upon them weeks later.

For the safety of the planet I do not open the spore filled containers, I just throw them away and buy new ones.
