I remember the same attitude weeks and months before the referendum: everyone who was even just thinking about voting Leave or was asking questions about it was called thick/bigoted/fascist/far-right/Nazi/racist by the left. Well, the "elites" were right about the leavers weren't they? It's been rolling downhill since that vote. Reform will probably win and implement aome of their populist ideas and then find out why it doesnt work.

I think labour aren't helping their case in many areas of too much woke but reform will probably not save the UK. I do think reform are right that they should deport all foreign prisoners before releasing indiscriminately. But reform then also have the retarded idea of sending prisoners to el Salvador

Reform don't have actual policies, they have populist platitudes. They simply say what they think the masses want to hear, with no intention or ability to actually follow through with their "plans".

"We want our country back" is just "Make America Great Again" rephrased.

"The establishment" is "the swamp".

Same old "deport everyone and especially the prisoners" narrative.

The proposed "Nightingale prisons" (Florence would freak) is the Alligator Alcatraz genius move.

And then of course they want to turn healthcare into the disaster it is in the US, too.

If they do eventually get elected we will be in a very bad way.

Brexit was always going to fail because the people in charge of it were all Europhile Tories. Even the guy who got the ball rolling (Farage) had a cushy job as a European MEP for years.

Prison solution is simple: send prisoners back to their country of origin. Any country that refuses has all visa privileges revoked.

Of course, there's a flip side to that, too: I recall a case where a guy faced deportation instead of prison time here, but what he'd done here (something along the lines of sexual assault) wasn't seen as a major crime where he was from, so he'd just walk. So the victim was up in arms because it meant she wouldn't receive any justice. I guess the solution would strict prison sentences (full term), and then immediate deportation on release.
 
if you've been here long enough to have seen the BBC Fools and Horses episode from around 2000 or 2001 where good old immigrant Gary caught a ride in their car coming back from holiday, its obvious this issue has been around for at least 25 years, and was at the point people were taking the piss already back then. Cameron's pledge ("tens of thousands") translated at 99,999+ and then the Polish/Bulgarian etc (was it "no more than 25k will even come").

and the current "call all reform/brexit voters thick". (hasnt worked for 10 years, still wont work)

I do think people here aren't so much putting trust in reform more than they are rejecting anybody who had anything to do with the leadership since "Gary", because they have been blatantly lied to , and called bigots (hat tip Brown the one-eyed slack-jawed snot gobbling nappy wearer)
