Came here to say this.Another bullšshit article confusing revenue with profit. He doesn't make R60,000 per month.
You assume wrong....he's turning over R60k, not making R60k profit.10 large bananas for R10
Each costs R1.00
So assume R60k profit at 50% markup... that means this dude has to buy the fruit at rock bottom prices???
Yep, that makes more sense. ThanksYou assume wrong....he's turning over R60k, not making R60k profit.
Input costs is perhaps limited to only labour?Something doesn't add up, the guy can manage to make a decent profit on selling a large banana for R1?
Bananas aren't cheap any longer, retail is R20/kg and wholesale half of that at R10/kg, a large banana is well over 100g..
Retail has much higher overheads. Also, remember these guys are getting the grades that the exporters and retailers do not want.Something doesn't add up, the guy can manage to make a decent profit on selling a large banana for R1?

DailyInfestor is an LLM, so of course maths isn't its bag!At 10/10 = R1 per banana that's 2000 bananas per day, but looking at his table he only has say 200....I don't think Daily Investor passed primary school math.
