All previous ANC splits failed to really gain traction as most people knew the best chance for loot was still in the strong central in power party. If the ANC ever actually loses majority power the next split will be real, and along tribal lines and that will probably stick. Zulu's always want to go their own way and the ANC's decline will push most into MK or IFP. What the Xhosa and Sotho factions do will also be telling. ANC will probably still be there but representing the very rural parts of Limpopo, Mpumalanga, etc.

Our best hope is surely 1 or 2 provinces that can push for more Federal-like independence. IF those who can get us there are given the support, else it's the glue factory for all of us :-/

Don't forget that a few years ago, they went out of their way to show her family lines to Mohammed, to ensure the Royal families future under Islamic rule. Wouldn't be in the least surprised when they announce the Royal families black heritage either.

Given who the ANC really are it is unlikely they would step down anyway, that said the cadre might have stopped voting for the ANC, but they are not voting for anyone else either, they simply stopped voting. Even if the ANC were removed completely, the close on 11 trillion Rand debt they have run up will be our problem for the next 2 to 3 generations at least, and the move to open end debt repayment means we are likely stuck with it forever. Then who is next in line, the DA being a white party is unlikely to ever be allowed to rule, and the only other popular black parties are worse than the ANC on every level. I really do not see a happy ending in this country's future, not in my lifetime and unlikely even in my grandchildren's lifetimes.

True but unfortunately his party and parties like the ANC and EFF are built on white hate, so even if they go under, they have already created enough hate to ensure that, democracy will never be anything other than a weapon against the people of this country.

Fairly sure once Zuma kicks the bucket it will start to disintegrate, but the vacuum will just be filled by similar.

I'm not so sure, not seeing a lot of "white hate". Just "white fear" that we're somehow magically gonna make apartheid like stuff come back.

The Zulu kind of like central power figures. Zuma is still very popular amoung the Zulu and his behavior is not as looked down on as one might think. The king gets what the king wants. The Zulu of all the tribes are still very monarchist/tribal chief led culturally. Perhaps because of the history of Shaka Zulu and how widely he was internationally recognized. So when Zuma dies other leaders will vie for the throne I would imagine. Zuma is trying to set up his son as that person but there will be others. Either way the Zulu are fiercely loyal to their own culture, and would rather follow any Zulu leader over an outsider, as shown by how many of them voted elsewhere after Zuma's ousting from the ANC.
