SA launches facility to build humanoid teachers for 23,000 schools

The Department of Science, Technology and Innovation has announced the launch of a manufacturing facility to produce AI humanoid "IRIS" tutor devices at the Dube TradePort in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.

Thandoh Gumede, CEO of BSG and Technologies, said that the long-term goal is to deploy the company's IRIS robotic tutors at all 23,000 schools across South Africa.

It's really become a complete circus, with the "Chinese Investor Bank", IMF and world bank playing the lead clown roles.

Desperate people. Bring on the vote

I shudder do think what these things must cost, never mind building that manufacturing facility
