What that shows me is a lot of possibly productive people leaving Gauteng, being replaced by EC and Limpopo refugees. Also a net 700k of people entering a province that's already collapsing in many places, can't be good.

With a population of 16 million (which is 3x the population of New Zealand - think about that for a second), that's an increase of 4.3%. I doubt the provincial economy grew by that much to be able to cope.

The problem is people see that many people entering as a good thing, without trying to understand what it actually means. It helps explain the structural collapse to a large degree. How can you fix something if you don't understand all the reasons behind it being broken. The other provinces need to get their fcking act together, GP can handle no more...

OP claimed higher net immigration to WC, which according to info I shared, isn't true. However, if it's educated and skilled people he's referring to, perhaps he must back that up first.

Lot of educated and skilled people from Limpopo settling in GP btw.

Data I provided covers a 10 year span.

I don't dispute that. I simply countered his claim with data.

Granted, but that's not what tgis discussion was about. The single variable under discussion is net movement.
