Ferrari's first EV fetches R646 million at auction

Ferrari NV's first all-electric vehicle defied criticism to sell for $40 million (R646 million), making it the most expensive new car ever sold at auction.

The Sotheby's charity auction of the "tailor-made" Luce at Monterey Car Week in California over the weekend broke a record posted last year, when Ferrari's customised Daytona SP3 sold for $26 million.

Myles would defend a mobile dog turd if it ran on batteries.

He just did by promoting this particular shiticle from the Bloom to the motoring forum. It is the least worthy bit of motoring news in a week. Even just from that particular event.

The Luce didn’t defy criticism. It earned someone very wealthy a sizeable tax write-off.
