It's dubbed Die Hard on a ship.

Apparently it was going to be Gerald Butler in Ship, a sequel to Plane. Butler bailed, so we get another Statham movie.

Another curiosity, it's only releasing in theatres on the 21st.
 
Spider-Man: Brand New Day - Disappointed/10

I eventually checked my cellphone to see how much longer to go. Very disappointing considering all the hype and how well it has been received by everybody. I found it slow and didn't really add much to Spidey's development as a character.

No Way Home was so much better.

EDIT: I also want to add that I am an MCU fan boy and the only reason I go to the cinema these days it to watch an MCU movie, so I very much went into this wanting to see and like it. I even avoided spoilers to make sure I went in with my own expectations.

Spiderman: Brand New Day (2026)

As people have mentioned, the grounded Spiderman story is strong but is constantly being shoved aside for MCU inserts like X-Men. I don’t think this movie actually takes that many big risks. After the set up from the previous film where everyone has forgotten Peter, it seems like it’s going to all be resolved by the end of this film.

It’s definitely over hyped for what it is. Even though it was shot practically, I still don’t think the movie looks particularly great. I was expecting so much more.

Amazon seemingly leaked Jason Statham’s entire Mutiny movie

The film isn’t supposed to hit theaters for two days, but it was briefly available to stream on Prime Video.

"Jason Statham’s upcoming film Mutiny is set to hit theaters on August 21st, but for at least an hour today it was available to stream in full on the US version of Amazon Prime Video. My colleague Dominic Preston was able to verify that all 1 hour and 35 minutes of the movie was available to watch on Amazon’s streaming platform, though it now shows as “unavailable.” The Mutiny website and marketing materials state that it’ll only be available in theaters when it’s officially released in two days.
There’s nothing to suggest that this was released on Prime Video intentionally, or that it’s intended to be some marketing stunt — neither the Punch Palace Productions and MadRiver Pictures production studios, nor US distributor Lionsgate, are owned by Amazon. We have reached out to Amazon for comment.
It’s unclear when Mutiny was added to Prime Video US.
