It's really not complicated, when you are young, you can take a job overseas, leave your wife or husband, go and come back, you can justify it by saying you are making money while the sun still shines to secure your future.

What is a 75yo who has worked all her life, secured a sizeable pension to live comfortably for the rest of her life still doing leaving her husband behind to go work in some faraway province? Where have you ever seen such nonsense? Your granny never did that, no one's granny ever did that, I would have understood if she took a job in Cape Town, I would say it is something to keep herself occupied, but this?

She has a problem of being a selfish person who only cares about her self gratification.

She’s explained her motives and one of them being is to leave a slightly better place for her grandkids. That doesn’t sound very selfish to me.
