Despite getting off to a strong start, downloads for the Gauteng e-Panic button app have slowed significantly.

If only there was a universal way that all phones could connect to a government service without the use of an app. Maybe some unique number they can put in somewhere that automatically connects the phone's speakers and microphones to the operator on the other side.

It's a panic button, there is a sense of urgency involved, so response times vary between 48 hours and never.
