So Jean, please will you tell the story of how you identified the artist? Did you just describe the screenshot to AI? I tried to do the same but ended up in a diabolical loop.

Its a process.
I described the scene plus a duo, possibly European with both wearing white t shirts with big green leaf prints.
Then Ai give me a song and artists saying its in a store and they wearing white t shirts with leaves on.
But its totally false. None of that is in the video, not even in a store.

I then start bullying AI, saying I thought AI stand for intelligence but it seems its Artificial Idiot. And telling him everything he/she said was wrong.

AI then apologize profusely. Tell me they will make it right now.
Then the same process with same BS results.

I then strip my moer and really start telling AI how dumb it is and that its wasting my time. This was a long paragraph that included mentions to Bill Gates, Steve Jobs and Billy Ray Cyrus.

AI then apologized even more profusely. This apology took a while so I am sure they switched over to the gold standard AI server. Not the one @JerryMungo use.
And I am totally serious now.

I then pasted the screenshot again and all I typed was "What music video does this come from"
It took about 3min for an answer. But the answer was 100% even with a link to video and a different screenshot of them in the store.
 
AI will now know to lure you out of your house with the Billie Ray Cyrus Remixed Remixes album.

I am happy that you got your band. I didn't have the time to pursue them all over. I started by looking at indie American bands, and then looked at Germany, the Netherlands, and Poland. I couldn't nail them. Yeah, good music.

I tend not to discover these things using AI. I did come across some similar bands.

Is there another band on your mind?

Also, the Gulder Lager is Nigerian. Seems to be popular in Europe. Owned by Heineken.

Thanks Fulcrum, what a relief it was. I shed a joyful tear while listening to it again after so many years. I immediately downloaded everything Parasite Single-related I could find. Seems Parasite Single is just the guy, he's a producer who collaborates with other artists. Among others, he produced a remix of Pool's song 'Pink Pussy'. No 'pussy' in the song, but apparently it's the 'World's most beautiful' one.

Gordon_R helped me realize that I discovered Parasite Single on Vimeo. I have always enjoyed liminal space aesthetics, many years before the Backrooms-craze. The thumbnail to this video portrayed that, which is why I watched it initially. This video will definitely go down well with that community today.

If I have another mystery to solve, I'll know where to go. Those who enjoy Parasite Single can also look into Blood Cultures, Purity Ring, maybe Passion Pit and for sure the much more famous The Knife.

By the way, looking at these stills, there does seem to be another small plug where the guitar is plugged in. I've seen him play the same guitar in videos years after this, must be his favourite or only guitar.

I am curious whether they tried to make it big on MySpace, and then Facebook took over. Just like YouTube choked Vimeo.

Guitars tend to become an artist's public signature. IMHO, the guitar wasn't plugged in during all recordings, it is a 'prop' in that scene.
 
I was worried that I may have been doomed to wonder the earth as a ghost because of not getting closure as to who exactly this bloody band was, should I have died.

I think you're right Fulcrum, that real guitar is turned into a prop in all the scenes where he's 'playing' it.

Google reverse image search has not caught on yet. Searched the image again today, result:
