What we know about Ashley Oosthuizen, the South African serving life in a Thai prison

Shup shup bro, but I think you're confusing lekker with affordable ;)
Sure affordable adds to the lekker, but lekker is so much more.
Sweltering heat, pollution, smelly streets, gridlock, dangerous pavements, tourist traps, noise...
If you can overlook those, cool.
Sorry can’t take advice from someone who has never been.
And if you think it’s cheap, Phuket itself is probably double Cape Town prices.
It’s best if you rather sit down, and stay in your lane 😉

I haven't been to Phuket but how did you reach the conclusion ? Just based on your multiple stays ?

I have been living between Hong Kong and Thailand the last 7 years.

Anyone that has ever been will tell you that Phuket is minimum 1.5 x Cape Town prices.
Probably factored in the Jet Ski, Tuk-Tuk/taxi and animal photo scams 🤷‍♂️ But in all seriousness... Phuket, actually all the Thai islands have become major ripoffs recently.
100%, I agree. But even accommodation and food is probably double Bangkok prices.
My point is anyone who says Thailand is cheap is delusional. 😉

I’ll have to bring all 4 of my maxi passports. 😉
Fk off now
Generally, anyone over age of 50 is likely to have 4 passports though ? Considering one has to renew every 10 years ? It is the stamps that one has to brag about.

Whaddya mean? Ya seen one crowded, polluted, stinking town
Get Thai'd! You're talking to a tourist whose every move's among the purest. I get my kicks above the waistline, sunshine
Siam's gonna be the witness to the ultimate test of cerebral fitness. This grips me more than would a muddy old river or reclining Buddha

But has he really been doing much to help her, I haven't seen her mom make any mention of him?

You can't renew a passport, for at least 15-20 years now. Just saying...

Interesting listening to him describe pharma drugs as soul destroying and recreational drugs as 'finding happiness'.

I tend to agree with the first one. The second just sounds like a story one tells oneself. Not saying there is no such thing as euphoria/a high, but 'happiness'? Sounds like a bit of a stretch, or as though he needs it as a crutch.

p.s. Also, none of his businesses seem to 'pan out'.

Food is also soul destroying in large quantities. So is alcohol, weed, water, etc.
