odd thing about those girls - "the coconuts"
the 3 girls are not specifically related to kid creole - in that different "coconuts" appear on stage from country to country.

but as to your question, the short answer would be "no".
they have been replaced by twerking hoochies - shaking arses big enough to cast shade on the village combine harvester !
 
this is an odd one for me - always adored the track.
however - it always, and without exception leaves me in a deep state of melancholy - - and anger.
the melancholy, that could be out of any number of reasons.
but the anger - i have no idea how or why, but it's bad anger - an anger giving me the sense that somebody needs to be hurt, hurt badly for something they have done or caused - an act of revenge on my part. however both the person deserving the harm, and his victim are always absent.
maybe some kind of suppressed memory thing.

there is one person i have some serious unfinished business with - a pedophile by the name of brian nel - a vile and evil individual, someone i wish an agonising and lingering death upon.
i throw his name about quite freely - there is nothing he can do about it, just a whimper from him will result in him facing a slew of criminal charges, again - and again - as before, for fiddling with schoolboys.
anyway - enough of that white trash !!

Rafferty has always been a favourite here as well. His Baker Street was something else as well. I managed to get the perfect copy of it onto a 4-track tape from the radio in 1978, just after it was released. Pirating old style. :)

the long list of innocent brian nels wont be offended - they are guilty of nothing - "my one" however, is a different animal altogether.
to expand just a little - imagine you are 15, in school - december holidays.
you get home from a day at the beach with friends to be met with the very grim face of your father - who tells you the police have been in contact, you are needed to identify a body in the mortuary.
you get there and a cop takes you into a big fridge with about 30 or so bodies are in it. you are led to the very end, a sheet is pulled back from a face - and under it lies the body of a friend who has jumped from the 8th floor of a building a little earlier - thanks to white trash nel - hence my unwavering deathwish knowing the full back story leading up to this.
there is reams more i can add, but this is not the thread for it

And location. A farm out in the middle of nowhere, no racing bikes or cars or anything. The timing part came in where you didn't need a jackal call in the middle of a song. Late at night around midnight was best.
