People trying to block data centres in South Africa are not cute

Datacenters will be paying the same as consumers no sweetheart deals right.

Data centers will probably get a good deal, and the consumer will pick up the price difference. Amazing how people like this think themselves entitled enough to use words like cute in a country that couldn't supply electricity for years and people are now suddenly expected to believe power users like data centers will not affect the grid.

He always seems to come across as someone who enjoys being inflammatory. Needs a curcumin smoothie.
 
I have no problem with sustainable development of any type. But I think at this stage the people building data centers know that AI is not sustainable so they are pushing things as fast as possible to rake the money and slide.
