That looks really nice! I haven't been i always was worried i'd pick-up some virus. Other than flying over it to Mauritius and its always a bit turbulent.

Nosy Be is so great that I have broken my rule about responding on this place. GO GO GO!!!! Plus, they have something nobody else does - Gauloise for R20 a packet. Hell, if you're going and want a place to stop in Joburg first, I am around the corner from OR and my price is delivery of a carton of Gaulloise.

VOA is €20. Go up to Sakatia - the water on the north side of the sand bank is hotter than bath water

You have to factor in that flying in Africa is way more expensive per km that almost anywhere else in the world

I have stayed at heure bleue before. Right on the "main" beach for nosey be, nice for walks etc. Not great for snorkeling etc as all the boats are that side.

Can recommend a VERY good travel agent for madagascar that goes there every year and owns and operates a couple yachts there. She gets good rates from the airlines and can tailor packages.
