The were slightly lower than the Ellis Park fly by. So the most likely scenario here is that they were lower than planned but still within the allowed limits of the flight. Aborting while inside the allowed limits would've significantly increased the risk as it is a two ship flight.

I would also note more large aircraft have been lost manoeuvring at low altitudes at airshows than flying straight which makes an unnecessary abort a bad idea.

I havw no idea but the Air Zim B707 low pass was badass. I think it's one of the contenders.

If it was planned to fly that low and something went wrong who would be blamed? It's stupid and what if there was gale force winds at the time?

Official statements don't count for much when the keyboard warriors are active on the forum! The data from FlightRadar24 are a lot more convincing than those from the company (or the SACAA). ADSB data has been used to determine the cause of incidents, with remarkable accuracy, even in the absence of any other information.
